Psychological research on developing positive habits suggests that it takes around 66 days to form one. To determine this, researchers in the U.K. had 96 people choose a new habit they wanted to develop, then surveyed them every day for 12 weeks. It turned out that, on average, it took participants 66 days before a particular choice became automatic or habitual.

Here at ISE, we are all about healthy habits. One of them is looking at the future of network evolution and how it impacts your professional world. That’s why we’ve created a new special section aptly titled The Future of the Network.

  • The Future of Power and Energy — February 2016
  • The Future of FTTx Equipment — May 2016
  • The Future of Backhaul Equipment — August 2016
  • The Future of Data Center Infrastructure — November 2016

Check out each issue and learn about a topic that’s notordinarily in your sights. Why? Because it’s critical to know a little bit about each of these network priorities in order to stay relevant. (Think of it as professional cross-training.)

Here’s to the health and well-being of the ICT network.May we kick into the habit of learning as much as we can.
Let’s be honest. Our professional future kind of depends on it.
