Calling All TED Talk Enthusiasts

TED Talks and the TED Conferences bring the world’s leading thinkers to us via short inspirational talks on the topics of technology, science, business, global issues, and much more. And as you likely know, they are wildly popular. There are 3,000 TED events each year — more than 8 events each day! In addition, TED Talk videos have racked up 800M views (visit www.ted.com).

Many of us may want to attend a TED Conference. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely we will. First, it is invitation only. Secondly, the ticket cost is a cool $6K. (And while I don’t mean to speak for you, that price tag takes attending a TED Conference off my bucket list.)

That’s why we came up with our own spin on this great way to learn. We are proud to announce ISE’s inaugural Tech Talk panel at ISE EXPO 2016.

On September 22, five ICT industry experts will each share a 5-minute Tech Talk on an ICT topic about which they are passionate. These Tech Talks are intended to inspire network professionals like you to ask questions and take action. (See page 17 of the June 2016 print issue for more on our presenters or go to http://iseexpo.com/keynotes/.)

And though we aren’t ready just yet to announce the topics our panelists have chosen, some potential Tech Talk topics could be:
• Why are network evolution and transformation 2 very different things, and how do they change our roadmap for the future?
• Why will virtualization help network professionals push their career development to the limit, and what does that mean for employers and employees?
• What questions are we not asking about network roadmaps, and how would those answers change where we are going?
• Where will the Internet of Everything take us? What must we do to
stay on top of it?

Want to see an example? Check out my stab at a Tech Talk on a topic near and dear to my heart. Go here and let me know what you think: https://youtu.be/w5kz5-Hq930.

Then, be sure to register and attend ISE EXPO 2016. Your Complimentary VIP Pass (worth $550) to access all professional development opportunities ISE EXPO has to offer is: Direct1A.

Tech Talk time is right around the corner. Hope to see you there.
