How Do New Designs Affect Users?
Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM (CT)
This webinar will discuss the new Ultra High Density cable designs and how rollable fiber ribbons and 200um fibers are making this possible. How will these changes impact planning, procurement, installation, troubleshooting and restoration? How will they affect other hardware such as closures, cabinetry and splicing equipment? How can you plan ahead to get the maximum benefit from these revolutionary new designs and deal with fiber counts in the thousands per cable? Learn the key factors to consider and how to avoid future pitfalls.
Who should attend:
Procurement managers and planners, OSP managers, engineers, technicians, designers.
- Learn how new cable designs impact ordering requirements and planning
- Understand how these changes contribute to potential cost savings
- Consider the impact on splice processes and hardware
- Learn how these new options can impact your network designs
- Be prepared for the impact on splicing processes, fiber numbering/color coding and the tools and hardware needed to accommodate these new designs
