Key Highlights

  • SuperBroadband combines T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network with Starlink satellite service to provide dual connectivity paths.
  • The solution uses independent 5G and satellite connections to help maintain uptime during outages or network disruptions.
  • By incorporating satellite connectivity, the service extends internet access to remote, rural, and underserved locations across the U.S.

T-Mobile has announced SuperBroadband, a business internet solution that combines its nationwide 5G Advanced network with Starlink satellite connectivity. The offering is designed to provide redundancy, expanded coverage, and simplified network management for businesses across the United States.

Organizations in sectors such as hospitality, retail, healthcare, and energy are currently using SuperBroadband to support operational continuity and network reliability.

SuperBroadband is built around three primary features:

  • Redundancy: The service integrates 5G and Starlink satellite connections, creating two independent network pathways intended to maintain connectivity during outages or disruptions.
  • Coverage: T-Mobile has expanded its 5G Business Internet footprint, and integration with Starlink extends availability to areas that may lack traditional wired infrastructure, including remote and rural locations.
  • Simplified management: The solution is delivered as a managed service with a single contract, consolidated billing, defined service levels, and a stated 99.99% uptime target.

T-Mobile positions the product as a response to common challenges in business connectivity, including inconsistent reliability, limited provider availability in certain regions, and the complexity of managing multiple internet service providers. Businesses operating across multiple locations often rely on multiple ISPs, contracts, and hardware systems, which can increase operational overhead.

SuperBroadband combines wireless and satellite technologies to address these issues. The system uses outdoor 5G equipment to improve signal strength, while routers integrate connections into a single network. Traffic is managed dynamically between 5G and Starlink to maintain performance. Network management is supported through Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions’ NetCloud Manager, with additional ecosystem partners such as Inseego contributing hardware and connectivity options.

The service also includes centralized monitoring through T-Mobile’s T-Platform, which provides visibility into network performance, hardware status, usage, and failover activity. Installation and field services are supported by Acuative.

According to T-Mobile, the solution is intended to support both single-location businesses and large, multi-site enterprises by reducing the need to manage multiple providers and improving network resilience.
