1983 – Magazine Launch
Debuts as Outside Plant Magazine to support telecom professionals working with copper networks. Provides practical field guidance on installation, maintenance and engineering.

1992 – Trade Show Debuts
First OSP EXPO held, focused on outside plant solutions. Becomes an annual hands-on training and networking event.

1990s – Expansion Era
ISE Magazine: Adds coverage of fiber optics and broadband, reflecting the industry’s move beyond copper.
ISE EXPO: Expands exhibits to include fiber solutions; quickly grows into a premier event for wireline professionals.

2000s – Broadband Boom
ISE Magazine: Focuses on DSL, fiber-to-the-home and enterprise networks.
ISE EXPO: Adds conference sessions, training and case studies on broadband deployment strategies.

2010s – Convergence & Mobility
ISE Magazine: Introduces coverage of small cells, wireless backhaul and 4G/5G evolution. Expands into digital formats.
ISE EXPO: Rebrands from OSP EXPO to ISE EXPO, reflecting a broader mission. Adds executive keynotes and wireless-focused education.

2020s – Future-Ready Networks
ISE Magazine: Expands into multimedia, webinars and digital resources. Covers 5G, edge computing, cloud and AI-driven networks.
ISE EXPO: Celebrates 30+ years. Offers hybrid in-person and virtual experiences, showcasing next-gen communications technologies.
