Ezee Fiber has announced that it has connected its first customers in Illinois, marking the start of its operations in the Midwest. The company is expanding its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network across the Chicagoland area as part of its broader growth strategy.
Initial installations are underway in Oak Brook and Streamwood. Residents in these communities now have access to Ezee Fiber’s fiber network, which offers symmetrical multi-gigabit speeds, no data caps, and set pricing. The company also operates locally staffed customer support teams.
"We're excited to bring our modern, 100% fiber network to homes in Illinois," said Greg Thomas, SVP and General Manager, Midwest Region at Ezee Fiber. "Our focus is on delivering ultra-fast speeds, reliability, and long-term infrastructure that supports how people live and work today—and into the future."
Construction in Illinois began in 2025 and continues to expand into additional Chicagoland communities. Service will become available in new areas on a rolling basis as construction is completed.
Ezee Fiber stated that construction will move through neighborhoods in coordination with local requirements. The company will provide advance notice to residents and complete restoration in accordance with municipal standards and industry practices.
The company’s network is designed to support a range of residential and business uses, including remote work, streaming, gaming, and commercial operations.
