Syntrio Solutions, LLC (Syntrio), a provider of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) internet services, has acquired the fiber-optic assets of Tri-County Electric Cooperative, based in Azle, Texas.
The approximately 250-mile fiber-optic network previously built and operated by Tri-County Electric Cooperative is now owned and operated by Syntrio. The acquisition expands Syntrio’s network footprint to include all or parts of Archer, Baylor, Hood, Jack, Palo Pinto, Parker, Tarrant, Wise, and Young counties.
According to Syntrio, the additional infrastructure is expected to enhance network redundancy by adding routes designed to support service reliability and uptime. The expanded network will also support the company’s ongoing fiber deployment efforts and its plans to provide high-speed internet and technology services to additional communities in North Texas.
Jason Tole, CEO of Syntrio, shared his support for the deal, remarking, “We appreciated the collaboration with Tri-County Electric Cooperative throughout this process, and their shared dedication to North Texas residents. The transaction marks an important milestone for Syntrio and supports our mission to be a leading regional broadband provider.”
Bank Street Group LLC served as Syntrio’s exclusive financial advisor and Jackson Walker LLP served as legal advisor in support of the transaction.
Syntrio stated that the next phase will focus on integrating the acquired fiber-optic assets into its existing network infrastructure while maintaining the company’s operational and service standards.
