Kinetic announced that it has surpassed 2 million fiber premises built across its 18-state service area, marking a significant milestone in the company's ongoing fiber broadband expansion efforts.

The milestone was reached in the greater Lexington, Kentucky, area and reflects continued investment in fiber infrastructure across rural and suburban markets. The company has expanded its fiber network in response to growing demand for high-speed internet connectivity among residential and business customers.

“This is the result of disciplined execution by our internal engineering and construction teams who are building fiber at scale and with a focus on quality,” said Bobby Walters, SVP of Construction at Kinetic.

According to Kinetic, its first-quarter results showed approximately 1.94 million premises passed, with fiber customers accounting for more than half of its customer base and revenue.

Over the past year, Kinetic introduced a bundled offering with YouTube TV, launched a partnership with eero to support Wi-Fi 7 deployments, and introduced its Kinetic Promise program. The company was also recognized by industry and consumer organizations for its broadband services and reported provisional awards totaling $184 million through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program for projects in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Texas.

In addition to network expansion activities, Kinetic reported conducting free computer-skills training programs and partnering with community organizations on local outreach initiatives.

The company said it remains focused on a multi-year investment strategy aimed at expanding multi-gig fiber internet access in underserved and unserved rural and suburban communities across the United States.
