GoNetspeed plans to invest $8 million to expand its 100% fiber-optic network into Carteret, New Jersey. The project is expected to extend fiber connectivity to more than 6,300 homes and businesses in the borough, with symmetrical internet speeds of up to 6 Gbps.

Construction is expected to begin as early as spring 2027, with the first Carteret customers anticipated to receive service by summer 2027.

The Carteret deployment is part of GoNetspeed’s broader expansion across New Jersey. Recent investments have included network projects in Parlin, East Brunswick, and Old Bridge, while construction is underway in South River.

GoNetspeed says its New Jersey expansion is part of a broader fiber deployment across 11 states, supported by an initial combined investment of $110 million. The company’s network offers symmetrical upload and download speeds ranging from 500 Mbps to 6 Gbps.
