VIAVI Solutions, Inc. will demonstrate technologies for validating next-generation AI fabrics at scale at the Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) 2026 conference, taking place March 17–19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The increasing complexity of AI, security, and high-speed photonics is driving changes in network validation and optimization approaches. At booth 1239, VIAVI will present solutions aimed at helping customers address the performance, reliability, and scalability requirements of modern AI interconnects.
Demonstrations will cover 1.6T Ethernet, transceiver, connectivity, and silicon photonic manufacturing solutions, PCIe® over optics, automated network testing, and fiber sensing. VIAVI will also showcase its ONE LabPro and TestCenter platforms for OSI L0–3 traffic generation and analysis, alongside the newly introduced hollow-core fiber test solution and DCX-700 optical loss test set, which supports testing up to 24 fibers simultaneously.
Several demonstrations will be conducted in partnership with the Ethernet Alliance and the Fiber Optic Center, emphasizing ecosystem collaboration. Interoperability sessions featuring next-generation Ethernet technologies will involve partners such as Amphenol and Celestica.
VIAVI will also introduce three new technologies at OFC 2026:
-
INX™ 700 probe microscopes with enhanced battery life for continuous automated inspection of single and multifiber connectors, designed for hyperscale data center environments.
-
High-density OSFP test platform, the first of its kind, for validating interoperability, latency, and power efficiency of next-generation 1.6T Ethernet infrastructure in AI, cloud, and hyperscale settings.
-
Distributed acoustic sensing product with real-time edge-based AI and machine learning capabilities.
Additionally, VIAVI will host a workshop on distributed fiber optic sensing for communication networks and infrastructure applications on Monday, March 16, from 1:30 – 5:30 PM PT.
On Wednesday, March 18, from 2:30 – 3:30 PM PT in Expo Theatre II, VIAVI will participate in a Lightwave panel discussion on how optical technologies such as hollow-core fiber are shaping data center interconnection (DCI).
OFC 2026 follows the Lightwave Innovation Awards, where VIAVI was recognized for the 10th consecutive year. Six of the company’s solutions received awards, including the ONE LabPro ONE-1600ER, TestCenter 1.6T Platform, A3 400G Appliance, mFVU-3000, DCX 700, and OneExpert Fiber.
