Sterlite Technologies Ltd. to Invest in U.S. Optical Connectivity and Data Center Infrastructure

At the SelectUSA Investment Summit held on May 6, 2026, Sterlite Technologies Ltd. (STL) announced plans to invest up to $100 million in the United States to expand its connectivity solutions business, including terminated optical fiber cables. The investment is expected to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities for AI data centers and telecommunications customers in the U.S. and could create approximately 400–500 jobs.
SelectUSA is a federal initiative focused on promoting and facilitating business investment in the United States. The SelectUSA Investment Summit is a four-day event that brings together multinational companies and U.S. economic development organizations to support investment and job creation opportunities.
STL currently works with major U.S. customers to support high-speed optical connectivity and data center infrastructure requirements through products such as its Celesta 6912 Fiber cable. The company has also recently introduced Neuralis, an expanded AI data center portfolio for the U.S. market.
According to STL, its optical connectivity solutions are designed to support high-density data transmission requirements for AI data center campuses and GPU-intensive computing environments.
Rahul Puri, CEO of STL, said the company’s integrated capabilities across the optical connectivity value chain position it to support infrastructure development for AI-driven applications. He added that the planned investment is intended to help expand scalable and reliable connectivity infrastructure in support of growing AI demand.
