Zayo announced the completion of its acquisition of Crown Castle’s Fiber Solutions business, expanding its metro fiber network and enterprise presence across several U.S. markets. The transaction increases Zayo’s network footprint as demand for AI and cloud-related infrastructure continues to grow.

Zayo’s network includes both long-haul and metro fiber infrastructure serving carriers, cloud providers, AI companies, and enterprise customers. Through the acquisition, Zayo adds approximately 90,000 route miles and 40,000 on-net enterprise locations. The expanded network is expected to provide customers with additional connectivity options, increased route diversity, and expanded access to data centers and cloud platforms.

The acquisition is Zayo’s 50th to date and its largest transaction so far. Following completion of the deal, Zayo’s network now spans approximately 224,000 route miles across North America. The company stated that the acquisition aligns with its ongoing investment strategy focused on expanding digital infrastructure capabilities.
