Broadband IQ™ is a new SaaS offering from VCTI designed to help service providers quickly analyze the most profitable and strategic markets for network expansion. The solution also helps them to develop accurate construction plans and budgets without investing time and money to send teams into the field to physically inspect. The Broadband IQ solution suite focuses on two critical decisions: Where to Build and How to Build. Service providers can access VCTI’s data and analysis via a self-serve model and leverage VCTI’s related services and expertise to interpret the information and build expansion plans.

Broadband IQ’s “Where to Build” capabilities help service providers and investors accurately assess the most high-value opportunities, highlighting key markets in hours, not weeks. VCTI accesses critical data from a variety of sources to analyze the impact of existing fiber deployments, competitors, demographics, housing density, and more while also identifying the number of grant-eligible locations; the analysis covers the specific boundary defined by the user and a perimeter of up to eight miles out. This insight also helps identify vulnerable markets to defend as providers and investors get insight into which competitors can expand into their territory.

Leveraging AI, Broadband IQ allows service providers to make faster, data-driven technology—or “how to build”—decisions to seize market opportunities. The solution provides infrastructure mapping and terrain intelligence with guidance on construction implications, without the need to send anyone into the field for inspections. This allows service providers to plan and budget more effectively, enjoying a 20-30% improvement in capital efficiency.

Customers report that Broadband IQ is enabling them to respond to 5-6 times more grant opportunities, reduce the “configure-price-quote” time for multi-building enterprise sales by more than 75%, and develop optimized routing plans that increase the addressable market by 5-6% with no additional capital, in addition to making more productive capital investment decisions.
