Prysmian to Demonstrate High-Density Microduct Cables at ISE EXPO 2026

Live demonstrations at Booth #501 will feature the company’s Sirocco microduct cable portfolio and BendBrightXS 180-micron fiber technology.

Prysmian will showcase high-density fiber cable technologies during ISE EXPO 2026, Aug. 18-20 in Nashville, Tennessee.

At Booth #501, the company will provide live demonstrations of its Sirocco Microduct Cable portfolio and BendBrightXS bend-insensitive fiber: products they say are designed to help network operators increase fiber capacity within constrained duct space while reducing the size of conduits and other network components.

Sirocco cables are installed by blowing or jetting them through underground microducts. According to Prysmian, the portfolio ranges from 12 to 864 fibers and supports microducts with internal diameters from 8 to 14 millimeters and larger.

The company says the cable’s reduced diameter can help operators make greater use of existing duct capacity, add fibers as demand grows and reduce disruption during network expansion. In long-haul applications, Prysmian says crews can place as much as 50,000 feet of cable per day through microduct systems.

Jon Fitz, director of advanced business solutions for Prysmian North America, said in a press release, “Our Sirocco and MicroFlex microduct cable solutions help customers lower the total cost of network construction by reducing the size of conduit, network components and installation time.”

The SiroccoXT Microduct Cable received an ISE Network Innovators’ Gold Award in 2025.

Fitz will also moderate the panel AWS Case Study: Maximizing Productivity During Cable Installations on Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. in Room 209AB. The panel will include representatives from Amazon Web Services, Dura-Line and Plumettaz America Corp.

Channell Commercial Corp., which Prysmian acquired in June 2025, will exhibit separately at Booth #1407. Prysmian has positioned the acquisition as an expansion beyond cable manufacturing into complementary connectivity and outside-plant infrastructure products for FTTx, 5G and data center networks.
