New Attempt to Fund the ACP Introduced

Bipartisan proposed legislation also wants to narrow the eligibility requirements.

On Tuesday legislation was introduced to fund the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) with $6 Billion.

The bipartisan House bill came from Reps. Nikki Budzinski (D-Ill.) and Mike Carey (R-Ohio), and is a "companion to the Senate’s Secure and Affordable Broadband Extension Act, sponsored by Sen. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) in May," reported NextTV.

In addition, it would scrap the one-time $100 subsidy, fund the FCC's "Rip and Replace" program, and make eligibility requirements more narrow.
