Calix has announced the launch of its new agentic AI-powered broadband platform, a development aimed at transforming how broadband service providers (BSPs) operate. 
Built on Google Cloud's AI and data infrastructure, the next-generation Calix Broadband Platform is designed to help BSPs simplify operations, speed up innovation, and deliver greater value to their customers.
According to Calix, the platform utilizes automated, task-based agents to manage workflows across various business functions, including operations, field technicians, marketing, customer service, and subscriber communications. This allows BSPs to augment their human teams with secure, scalable, and context-aware automation.
The launch follows a significant $100 million investment in AI since 2023, signaling a new strategic direction for the company.
The announcement was made ahead of Calix's annual user conference, ConneXions. The company released further details in two official statements:
