Following the October 1 agreement between Serbia and the United States to strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI), Telekom Srbija Group is accelerating its AI investment strategy and expanding engagement with leading U.S. technology companies. The initiative reflects the Group’s commitment to advancing next-generation digital services, fostering international partnerships, and positioning itself as a leading technology partner across Southeast Europe and beyond.

As part of this effort, Telekom Srbija Group has engaged with the U.S. State Department, Department of Commerce, and the Export-Import Bank to explore opportunities for technology collaboration and project financing. These discussions support the Group’s ambition to strengthen ties with the U.S. technology ecosystem and become a preferred regional partner for American companies.

“Artificial intelligence represents one of the greatest opportunities for the future of telecommunications and digital services,” said Vladimir Lučić, CEO of Telekom Srbija Group. “We have been investing in this technology for several years, and our focus is now on accelerating its practical application."

Lučić continues, "By combining AI innovation with our expanding 5G infrastructure and international reach, we see significant opportunities to deliver new services and strengthen our position as a global technology company.”

AI is a cornerstone of Telekom Srbija Group’s long-term growth strategy, building on sustained investment in emerging technologies, digital infrastructure, and innovative startups. Through TS Ventures, its corporate venture investment fund, the Group supports the development of AI-powered solutions across sectors including healthcare, robotics, media, and digital content protection. In parallel, the Group continues to expand its 5G network, with more than 2,000 base stations deployed, creating the connectivity infrastructure needed to enable advanced digital applications and services.

“Our ambition is to help bring the future of AI-powered technologies to businesses and consumers across multiple markets,” added Lučić. “International partnerships will be essential to making that happen. We believe Telekom Srbija Group is uniquely positioned to connect leading technology innovators with growing markets across Southeast Europe and beyond, accelerating digital transformation across the region.”

The Group’s expanding international footprint provides an additional platform for this growth. Telekom Srbija Group plans to launch mobile services in the United States in December 2026 through the AT&T network. Together with its presence and ambitions across the United States, Germany, and Turkey, this expansion is expected to extend the Group’s reach across markets representing approximately 700 million people, creating new opportunities to scale digital services, develop strategic partnerships, and bring innovative technology solutions to a broader international audience.

Through continued investment in AI, next-generation connectivity, and cross-border collaboration, Telekom Srbija Group is advancing its ambition to become a globally connected technology company and a key partner in the digital transformation of Southeast Europe.
