Vertiv Expands Manufacturing Capacity to Support Data Center and AI Infrastructure Demand

Vertiv, a provider of digital infrastructure technologies, announced the addition and expansion of four manufacturing facilities in the Americas. These developments are intended to increase the company’s production capacity for infrastructure solutions, power management systems, and integrated cabinets. The expansion aligns with growing demand from data center operators seeking to scale operations efficiently, including those supporting artificial intelligence workloads.
"Vertiv sees AI as a long-term, secular trend, and we are accelerating our capacity expansions to anticipate the continued growth in demand," said Vertiv CEO Giordano (Gio) Albertazzi.
In South Carolina, two new facilities will focus on infrastructure technologies aimed at improving the speed of data center deployment. These sites are expected to significantly increase regional production capacity once fully operational. The company highlighted modular power infrastructure and prefabricated systems designed to streamline installation processes and reduce deployment timelines compared to traditional construction methods.
In Pennsylvania, Vertiv has added a facility to support its racks and containment business, increasing production of cabinets with integrated cooling systems for high-density data center environments. These systems are designed to simplify deployment and reduce the need for on-site integration.
An expansion in Mexicali, Mexico, is expected to increase regional manufacturing capacity for power conversion, conditioning, and distribution technologies used in both high-density and conventional applications.
Vertiv stated that its broader strategy focuses on delivering integrated infrastructure solutions that combine power, cooling, IT systems, and services. The company aims to support customers in deploying and scaling data center operations through a combination of manufacturing capacity and its existing product portfolio.
