Key Highlights

  • Emphasis on agentic AI systems capable of executing multi-step, complex business processes.

  • Target industries include telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, engineering, and software development.

  • Use cases include workflow automation, risk assessment, compliance reporting, product design simulation, and software coding support.

Infosys has announced a strategic collaboration with Anthropic to develop and deliver enterprise AI solutions across telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, and software development. The collaboration will initially focus on the telecommunications sector, including the establishment of a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence to build and deploy AI agents designed for industry-specific operations. The scope is expected to expand to additional industries over time.

The collaboration integrates Anthropic’s Claude models, including Claude Code, with Infosys Topaz AI offerings. The objective is to support enterprises in automating complex workflows, accelerating software delivery, and implementing AI systems with governance and transparency aligned to regulatory requirements.

The initiative is intended to deliver operational and strategic value by combining industry expertise, AI technologies, and engineering capabilities. The companies plan to support clients in evolving enterprise operating models through a unified approach.

A primary focus of the collaboration is agentic AI—systems designed to execute multi-step tasks such as claims processing, code generation and testing, and compliance reviews. Using tools such as the Claude Agent SDK, the companies will support the development of AI agents capable of managing extended and complex processes. The collaboration will also address legacy system modernization, leveraging Infosys Topaz and Claude to support system migration and reduce infrastructure update costs.

Planned industry applications include:

  • Telecommunications: AI agents to support network operations modernization, customer life cycle management, and service delivery improvements.

  • Financial Services: AI agents to enhance risk detection, automate compliance reporting, and enable more personalized customer interactions.

  • Manufacturing and Engineering: Use of Claude to assist with product design and simulation, with the aim of reducing research and development timelines.

  • Software Development: Use of Claude Code to support code writing, testing, and debugging across development life cycles. Infosys is also deploying Claude Code within its Exponential Engineering organization to build internal expertise and inform client implementations.
