Centillion Solutions, an Osmose company, has entered into a strategic partnership with 3-GIS to help broadband and telecommunications providers improve the quality and usability of geographic information system (GIS) data used to plan, build, and manage fiber networks.

The collaboration combines 3-GIS's fiber network design and management platform with Centillion's engineering and network data management expertise. The companies say the partnership is intended to help service providers improve the accuracy and integrity of GIS records, supporting more efficient network planning, operations, and infrastructure expansion.

As telecommunications operators continue investing in fiber infrastructure, GIS data plays an increasingly important role in network planning, asset management, serviceability, and project execution. Accurate and up-to-date network records can help organizations make operational decisions more efficiently and better manage expanding infrastructure programs.

Under the partnership, 3-GIS will provide its network management platform as a system of record for fiber network data, while Centillion will contribute engineering, network documentation, and data integrity services to support the collection, organization, and application of network information.

The companies said the partnership is intended to support organizations managing increasingly complex fiber network deployments by combining software capabilities with engineering and data management services.
