Lumos Appoints Scott Mispagel as Chief Executive Officer

Lumos, a fiber optic internet provider and network infrastructure company, announced that Scott Mispagel has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Brian Stading, who previously announced his retirement. Mispagel and Stading will work together during the transition period as part of the company’s succession plan.
Mispagel brings more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications and fiber infrastructure, including leadership experience focused on network expansion, operations, and organizational management.
Prior to joining Lumos, Mispagel served as Senior Vice President of National Engineering & Operations at Frontier Communications, where he oversaw engineering and operations initiatives related to the company’s fiber network expansion. His experience also includes leadership positions at Windstream, GTE, and other telecommunications companies.
Mispagel’s appointment follows the retirement announcement of Brian Stading, who has served as CEO since 2022. During his tenure, Lumos expanded its fiber network and operations, including the development of its partnership with T-Mobile.
