VIAVI Integrates Augmented Reality RF Viewer into OneAdvisor 800 Wireless Platform

VIAVI Solutions, Inc. has announced the integration of RF Viewer, a new augmented reality (AR) capability, into its OneAdvisor 800 Wireless test platform. The addition is intended to support applications such as telecommunication network deployments, smart building design, RF safety assessments, and field troubleshooting.
RF Viewer was developed in collaboration with Verizon Wireless and is designed to provide real-time visualization of radio frequency (RF) emissions. By overlaying signal strength data onto a live video feed, the tool allows users to observe the location, intensity and distribution of RF signals. This approach aims to make RF analysis more intuitive by presenting technical data in a visual context.

"RF Viewer enhances our ability to maintain optimal network performance while ensuring technician safety."

RF Viewer includes features such as live AR-based displays of RF signal strength and distribution, real-time diagnostic feedback for troubleshooting and optimization, and an interface designed to be accessible to both experienced RF professionals and users with less specialized expertise.
The integration expands the functionality of the VIAVI OneAdvisor 800 Wireless platform, which supports a range of testing needs including spectrum analysis, interference detection, and transport network validation. VIAVI states that the platform is designed to support current wireless networks as well as emerging technologies such as 5G Advanced and early 6G development.
